Betway has inked a deal to become the official wagering sponsor of the Stockholm Open, the planet’s most seasoned ATP indoor tennis competition.

The agreement grants the Super Group subsidiary exclusive betting partner status for the tournament, including a variety of branding and promotional opportunities.

Kristoffer Svensson, Tournament Director at Division, the organizers of the 2021 event, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We are thrilled to welcome Betway to the Stockholm Open,” remarked Svensson. “We anticipate a dynamic and exhilarating week of tennis alongside Betway and all the tennis enthusiasts.”

This year’s competition, scheduled for November 6-13, marks the tournament’s return after the COVID-19 pandemic forced a global sports shutdown.

The 2020 cancellation was the first interruption for the annual tournament, held consistently since 1969. Tennis legends like Borg, McEnroe, Becker, Bjorkman, Federer, and Tsitsipas have all competed on the hard courts of the Royal Tennis Hall in the Swedish capital.

Commenting on the partnership, Anthony Werkman, CEO of Betway, stated: “The Betway brand is honored to partner with the Stockholm Open. As the world’s longest-running ATP indoor tennis event, the tournament boasts a storied history, and we are delighted to serve as their exclusive betting partner for the next three years.”

For quite some time, Betways has demonstrated significant backing of tennis, and their decade-long sponsorship of the ATP Tour serves as a recent illustration. Their activity this year has been notable, including sponsoring the Hamburg Open in June and securing the role of sole betting associate for the European Open in Belgium merely a couple of months after.
