Affinity Interactive has appointed industry expert Scott Butera to the position of President and CEO. Butera’s remarkable three-decade career encompasses gaming, hospitality, media, entertainment, and athletics, making him a perfect match for this opportunity. He is recognized for his capacity to foster expansion and creativity, and he has already made a significant impact at Affinity Interactive.
In his previous role, Butera headed Affinity’s Sports Information Group (SIG), where he directed the creation of retail and business products and increased digital sales for the Daily Racing Form. This tenure provided him with invaluable knowledge of the company’s operations and customer requirements.
Butera’s credentials read like a roster of prominent figures in the entertainment and hospitality sectors. He has held executive roles at MGM Resorts International, the National Football League, Foxwoods Resort Casino, Tropicana Entertainment, and Trump Entertainment Resorts.
James J. Zenni Jr., Chairman of Affinity Interactive and Founder, President, and CEO of ZCG, conveyed his trust in Butera, stating that his operational proficiency and extensive understanding of the gaming sector have been crucial in broadening Affinity Interactive and Sports Information Group’s product portfolio. Zenni is certain that Butera’s guidance will guarantee Affinity continues to deliver exceptional encounters for its almost one million users and patrons across multiple platforms.
Butra also highlighted Affinity’s dedication to advancing the gaming sector, stating, “We’re focused on utilizing state-of-the-art technology and delivering exceptional customer support to truly enhance the gaming journey, be it digital or in physical venues. That’s the foundation of our achievements.”
He continued, “I’m thrilled to collaborate with Jim and utilize my expertise and enthusiasm for progress to realize Affinity Interactive’s long-term aspirations.”
This new role follows other executive transitions at Affinity, such as the designation of Halise Ekmen Uysal as Chief Financial Officer in the previous year.
