The Confederation of Asian Football (CAF) and Sportradar, an international frontrunner in sports information and probity solutions, have prolonged their established alliance for an additional four years. This fresh accord, effective from 2024 through 2027, expands upon a fruitful collaboration initiated in 2013, signifying a notable turning point in their mutual pledge to safeguarding Asian soccer.
The revitalized partnership was formalized during a signing event in Doha, Qatar, coinciding with the anticipation surrounding the approaching CAF Asian Cup 2023. CAF President Shaikh Salman bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa and Sportradar Chief Executive Officer Carsten Koerl were in attendance to solidify the arrangement, underscoring the significance both entities place on ethical conduct within the sport.
Shaikh Salman commended the partnership, remarking, “Sportradar has been a resolute partner in our battle against game manipulation over the past ten years. Their unwavering backing has been pivotal in upholding the integrity of Asian football.” He further emphasized the strategic progression of their collaboration, noting, “Since 2013, our partnership has intensified, resulting in even more robust connections between the CAF and Sportradar. This continued collaboration is essential to guarantee a level competitive environment for all.”
Carsten Koerl reciprocated these sentiments, adding, “The triumph of this partnership illustrates the potency of joint efforts and our shared dedication to preserving the fairness of CAF tournaments.”
