Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI), a racing and gambling company, has forged a content and sponsorship arrangement with FanDuel, a brand under Flutter.
CDI’s pact with FanDuel, a multi-year deal, encompasses numerous aspects of FanDuel’s operations, including sports wagering, advance deposit betting (ADW), and television endeavors. Under the terms of the arrangement, CDI will furnish B2B technology and services for FanDuel’s sports betting horse racing wagering capabilities.
In the United States, FanDuel patrons will be able to place bets on horse racing content at CDI locations, and FanDuel will be permitted to broadcast CDI content on its recently announced television network. The agreement also incorporates a non-exclusive sponsorship of the Kentucky Derby by FanDuel.
CDI’s subsidiary, United Tote, will be remunerated by FanDuel to facilitate the horse racing wagering portion of the agreement. CDI previously entered into an agreement to sell a 49% stake in United Tote to the New York Racing Association, with the transaction anticipated to conclude before the commencement of the new year.
