PointsBet has declared that Liam Roecklein is their new Head of Content.
Roecklein previously held a top position at Cheddar News, where he oversaw all news operations, expansion, programming, and content creation. He also served as a senior executive in charge of show production at Time Inc.
He will be responsible for all content produced by PointsBet, including their website, social media, and television programming. He will also collaborate with major corporations like NBC Sports and sports leagues such as the NFL, NBA, and PGA Tour.
Roecklein stated, “PointsBet boasts a wealth of talented individuals and partnerships, it’s like a treasure trove!” He further added, “The sports betting industry is just beginning to leverage its potential to create compelling content for television, online platforms, and social media. We are on the cusp of significant transformations, and PointsBet will spearhead this evolution by producing engaging content that resonates with audiences and connecting with them where they are.”
Roecklein will report to Kyle Christensen, who serves as the chief marketing officer at PointsBet. Christensen assumed this role in October.
The firm also named Mary-Beth Hoskins as Chief Information Officer at year’s end, a significant addition to the team.
“Liam’s arrival positions us for great things,” Christensen remarked. “His expertise in fostering communities and propelling growth through content is priceless.
“This market remains uncharted territory for many. We have a singular chance to leverage our own technology and NBC collaboration to broaden the sports experience and demonstrate why PointsBet is the premier destination for wagering enthusiasts. Liam and his crew will be at the heart of this endeavor.”
